4 Days Amboseli & Tsavo Safari – Kenya (Nairobi & Coastal Beach Route)

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from either Nairobi or the Coastal region (Mombasa/Diani/Watamu), heading towards Amboseli National Park through scenic rural landscapes and Maasai land. Arrive in Amboseli in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge or tented camp. After a short rest, proceed for your first afternoon game drive across the park’s open plains and swamp ecosystems. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds moving gracefully against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive exploring Amboseli National Park. The park offers diverse habitats including wetlands, savannah, and acacia woodlands, supporting elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and over 400 bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park or return to the lodge depending on preference. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive across Tsavo’s vast wilderness, known for its red soil and iconic red elephants. Expect sightings of lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, ostriches, and possibly cheetahs near the Galana River. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up early for a final sunrise game drive in Tsavo East when wildlife is most active and lighting is ideal for photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. Begin your journey back to your chosen drop-off point — either Nairobi or Coastal beaches (Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, or Malindi) — enjoying scenic en-route views along the way. Arrive in the afternoon or evening, marking the end of your Amboseli & Tsavo safari experience.
