3 Days Samburu Adventure Safari – Kenya

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading north through Nyeri, Nanyuki, and Isiolo. The journey offers scenic views of Mount Kenya and Kenya’s central highlands, setting the tone for your northern safari experience. Upon arrival at Samburu National Reserve, you will check in at your lodge or tented camp located near the Ewaso Nyiro River and enjoy lunch. After a short rest, you proceed for your first afternoon game drive across the rugged Samburu landscape. This first drive introduces you to the region’s unique ecosystem, with chances of spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and other plains game against a dramatic semi-arid backdrop. In the evening, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive exploring Samburu National Reserve in depth. The focus is the Ewaso Nyiro River area, where wildlife gathers throughout the day, offering excellent viewing and photography opportunities. You will have strong chances of spotting elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and possibly African wild dogs. Samburu is also famous for its rare northern species, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Lunch will be enjoyed either as a picnic inside the reserve or at the lodge depending on preference.
